A Centennial Committee, consisting of 13 appointed Carolina Beach residents, began work on a centennial celebration with programs and events for both the community and visitors to begin on March 4, 2025, through September 4, 2025. The mission of this celebration is to honor the past and present of Carolina Beach and to inspire its continued growth and prosperity into the next century.
The incorporation of Carolina Beach was introduced in the House on February 21, 1925. This process went through channels until being ratified by the senate and sent to the Secretary of state on March 6, 1925. The Wilmington Dispatch dated September 5, 1925 states that "Carolina Beach became an incorporated town on this date..." The mayor and other town officers assumed office on September 5th, 1925.
